Nature Nurture
Photography Exhibition
By: Shawna Ventimiglia
Repay Nature

Artist Statement:

Mother Nature provides for us every day in ways which allow us to grow, thrive, and flourish.  In this strength, we have developed a false sense of independence.  As we are no longer cultivating our special relationship with nature, her beauty that sustains us is left vulnerable.  We must help save tomorrow.  We must choose to get back to our roots and Nurture Nature.

Biography:

Shawna Ventimiglia graduated Magna Cum Laude from Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia.  She earned a BFA in Photography with a Minor in Fashion Design in 2005.  She has shown her work in a number of group exhibitions, as well as solo exhibitions both Nationally and Internationally.  For the last few years, Shawna has lived in St. Louis, working as both a commercial and fine art photographer.  She currently resides in Benton Park with her Ally cat and they live a very green lifestyle.  Shawna has plans to relocate and begin a Master's Program in Photography in the Fall of 2011.
