Management of the River des Peres is executed solely by the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD), and the issuing of permits is handled by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (The Corps).
Keeping Clear
MSD and the Corps are collaborating to improve the infrastructure of the sewage system throughout the City. The agencies are also working together to improve the River's aesthetics. In addition, MSD is planning improvements to the channel banks and bottom in certain stretches.
